Well, its been a long time since I wrote here. Its the first post of 2008!!! Hope all of you had a great new year.
Well, all is good at our end. Baby is due pretty soon, and both me and Chitra are geared up for the big event! The official due date is 21-Feb-2008, but anything + or - 2 weeks is considered as a ‘term’ baby.
It has been kind of hectic the past month or so… shopping for baby stuff, childbirth classes, baby shower(s) :) …. and so on. Well, the child-birth classes were pretty informative and helpful. Things like these are unheard of in India. In a way its good, and in some ways, its bad - as-in they give too much of information! Well, shopping for baby stuff is another story …. All in all, its been hectic and fun so far :)
Life would go for a spin for sure, pretty soon - for the good!!
Well, I also realized that I am not really finding time to play with the Wii that I bought a few months back.

So, decided to put it up for sale on eBay. Its a amazing game system, but I don’t really see myself sitting and playing given where I am in my life! :). So, if you are interested, bid for it! BTW, its still hard to find Wii’s here in the US! This thing still has very high demand!
Also, up for grabs on eBay is my Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USM Lens! I would be upgrading to a new lens pretty soon (Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM)

On the work front, I am still working for the same project that I was in. The work load is decent. Not too bad.
Well, the next couple of months would be exciting! :) More updates as and when I get time!

Its Spring time here in Houston, and I am back after a long silence :).. Its almost more than two months since i ‘wrote’ a post I guess.
Well, the last couple of months have been pretty hectic on the work front. Things are settling down slowly. (I think! & hope). Lets see. Fingers crossed. … Hopefully, you should soon see some regular posts back on this blog!
Well, nothing much has changed over the past few months, pretty much the same work schedule. No major travels…except that we had been on a 4 day road trip to Fredericksburg (Texas) & Dallas back in December ‘06 during the Christmas holidays. . so I have a lots of posts/pics that have been backlogged (including the Las Vegas trip snaps!). I hope i would be able to clear all the backlogs soon :)
Well, having said above, I must tell you all that I am not totally off the internet :) I am very much connected. Thanks to Google Reader, I am still actively tracking all the blogs that I used to read and follow (and a lot more!). Also, Google Reader is my primary feed reader now!. Bloglines is out for me! And Google Reader gets better by the day! The only thing that I would like to see on Google Reader is a search feature to search contents my subscribed feeds (or starred/shared posts). Surprising that a ’search’ powerhouse like Google doesn’t offer ’search’ feature natively! (160GB Seagate Portable Hard drive (USB powered) - got it from newegg.com
2. 750GB Seagate External Drive (USB 2.0 + FireWire + external power) - (Just ordered - yet to arrive!)
3. Canon Digital Rebel XTi -400D (Sold my old Canon Digital Rebel 300D on eBay!)
4. EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Telephoto Zoom (Sold my old 75-300mm lens on eBay)
5. 3 GB of CF cards (2 GB - Sandisk Ultra II & 1 GB - Lexar Platinum)
6. Garmin Nuvi 360 - GPS - Use this a lot. In fact we were totally dependent on this on our last road trips!
Well, I must say that I got pretty good deals on all of the gadgets! But the sad part is, I haven’t had lot of time to play around with most of the above gadgets :(
Well, next post coming up soon!

Its time for me to upgrade to a better lens! So I am selling my Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens Telephoto on eBay. Check out the auction if you are interested!
Here are some more pics of the lens itself :

Update (08-Nov-06): The lens was sold on eBay. Got a pretty good deal. The entire transaction went on smoothly. Also got the new lens from B&H, .. and it rocks!

Bought Canon PowerShot A610 this week. This would be our second camera. I still love my Digital Rebel (EOS 300D). But the problem is, others feel its too complex for them to handle it. :) I can’t give it to my parents/relatives to use it. They find the Rebel it something big and that its meant only for professional photographers. It actually looks like that!. But, A610 is relatively small, and would easily fit inside a shirt pocket. So, this would be kind of a Backup Camera. The reviews for this camera are pretty impressive.
