This is Part 3 of a three part series of our trip to Las Vegas.

The next 2 days, we spent at the Las Vegas Strip - Going from one Casino to other :)…. It was fun.

Life of Las Vegas is centered around one road popularly called “The Strip“. Almost all the Casinos are on The Strip! Majority of these properties on The Strip are owned by MGM Mirage or Harrahs entertainment!

Check out the Snaps of the Hotels and Casinos …..

San Antonio Trip

This post has been long due. Wanted to post this a week back, but work is kind of hectic. So, could not post it. Anyways, to cut the story short, me and Chitra had been to San Antonio during the Oct 28/29 weekend.

San Antonio is the 7th biggest city in USA and has got a historic touch to it. Its around 3 hrs drive from Houston. The main attraction of the city is the “River Walk” area. Its a small river which flows right thought the heart of the city. There is a walkway around this river, and the walkway has all kinds of shops and restaurants on it. Nice place to spend a day! One more attraction is the Sea World water park. We spend our first day at the Sea World water park.

Here is a photo essay of the trip!

We started our trip with Sea World…

At Sea World, you can feed the dolphins!… but only during the feeding time. But we did manage to get pretty close to these wonderful creatures…

Next, we went to the Sea Lion Show. It was just Amazing. You need to see the show to believe what these wonderful creatures are capable of! The show was really funny and cute!

The Real Design of New Infosys Campus at Mangalore

Update (13-Apr-2007): Apparently, I heard recently that they have changed the design - due to the nature of the soil at the construction area. I think it won’t be a inverted pyramid as shown below.

OK. This one is for real, unlike the major HOAX forward mail that was floating around a couple of months back.

The real proposed Design of the new Infosys Campus at Mangalore looks as shown below:

Will post more pictures if I get a chance!

You can find designs of other proposed Infosys buildings at the Hafeez Contractor’s website.

mInfosys 10th Anniversary celebrations

Yesterday was the big day for Mangalore Infosys. We had our 10th anniversary celebrations. The venue : Dr. TMA Pai International Convention center.

TMA Pai -MAHE- Convention Center

The program started at around 4 - 4.30 PM. Lot of dignitaries had come down for this special occasion. We had S. Gopalakrishnan (Kris) - Director, K. Dinesh - Director, N S Raghavan (ex-infoscion, emp# 1 of Infosys), R G Bhandi (ex-infoscion, the first DC head of Mangalore), M M Mohan (ex-infoscion), Binod H R, Bikramjit Maitra, V P Kochikar, Shivshankar, Capt. Sinha and couple of other folks.

The entrance was strictly for Infoscions and their family members.

Here is the stage setup :

The cake was damn beautiful. It was a replica of our Infosys Mangala office. Check out the pictures.

The function started with a snapshot of the past 10 years. “Story So far” kind of thing. Was very nostalgic indeed. This was followed by a short movie on Mangalore Infosys.

After that the formal function began.

Then then there was cake cutting. Two young mInfoscions who share their birthday with mInfosys got to cut the cake along with other dignitaries!. But, it was kind of sad to cut such a beautiful cake!!

After the stage event, we had a Inter-DC short film competition. It was a competition among various Development Centers of Infosys to come up with a short film on the topic “Social Consciousness and Community Empathy”. This program went on for about an hour. 12 films were played. In the mean time, cake was served. Mysore DC won the competition.

Next up was the Rock Show from a group called Aquaflow from Mumbai. They did a pretty neat job. One good thing that they did was, they did manage to sing some non-rock stuff too, although it disappointed some small set of rock fans. So, it was not a pure rock show as such! After a couple of numbers, mInfoscions were all set to rock and roll and didn’t want to stop! (as usual!)

The last part for the day was.. the dinner :). Taj Manjarun were the caterers for the day, and the food was good, specially the non-veg part!

All in all, a day to remember for all mInfoscions.

Design of New Infy Campus at Mangalore - Mail Forward

Update (Nov 11, 2005): Check out the Real Design of the Proposed Infy Campus at Mangalore.

I work for Infosys, mangalore and this mail recently bumped into my mail box about the design of new Infosys campus in mangalore, with some really cool snapshots of the desgin.

All i can say is, the above pics are kind of fake and the mail is a pure HOAX. The snaps have nothing to do with Infosys or Infy Mangalore campus! :)

I am not sure who send out that mail, but that mail is making round all around the net !. Lot of people are googling for information on this, and they end up on my blog ! :).

Thats why this post!

Ok. So, for the real one : Check this link : http://www.voyager-ent.com/flash_index.asp. This something that is proposed in UAE!

Also, check this previous post of mine!
