New Camera - Canon PowerShot A610
December 15th, 2005 at 12:01pm
Bought Canon PowerShot A610 this week. This would be our second camera. I still love my Digital Rebel (EOS 300D). But the problem is, others feel its too complex for them to handle it. :) I can’t give it to my parents/relatives to use it. They find the Rebel it something big and that its meant only for professional photographers. It actually looks like that!. But, A610 is relatively small, and would easily fit inside a shirt pocket. So, this would be kind of a Backup Camera. The reviews for this camera are pretty impressive.

hi…. two questions :
1. for a non-professional, wht shud be the minimum MP in a digital camera….and,
2. i like compactness in a camera and more optical zoom…….wht r ur suggestions….nikon L1? plz state others…..
15. Arjun | March 10th, 2006 at 6:48 pm
I would suggest you go for :
Canon S2 IS :
http://www.dpreview.com/news/0504/05042201canons2is.asp
Its compact, and has 12x optical zoom with image stabilizer.
They have released S3 too recently. But it would be priced higher!
Hope this helps.
