    I am chethan from Bangalore. My father used a CITIBANK CREDIT CARD which was covered under Suvidha insurance.He was paying the premium past a few years.He passed away on AUG 31st 2005 due to Stomach Cancer. The outstanding amount in his account was 15 thousand. We have furnished all the documents asked by them to settle the card balance and submitted to Francis working in Citibank. He told that he will take care of everything.
    I have now got a letter from Citibank that i shoud furnish all the documents. We have submitted doctor’s certificate, application filled by doctor, Death certificate, identity proof.
    WHat ever was asked has been submitted.
    So please kindly do the needful

     A very good informative site. But please tell me what should one do when a credit card is sent flouting RBI rules, then the paymrnt bill is sent and then threatening letter is sent to put name in Industrywise Negative Bureau. The card is unsolicitied and made defunct and never used. What legal remedies is one having against this atrocity & harassment? This has happened with Stanchart bank. There was no application made but card is forcibly sent. Can the harassed person get compensation? Thank you.

     i appled SCB card and after getting it i lost that card and made a complaint and got it back in Dec 2005. They told to pay 200 rs for the loss of the card. But i forget to pay it. still date i did nt receive any statements or notice that i ahve to pay this much amount. Also i never used my credit card for purchase.      Six months before, i have asked ICICI Credit Card division to do the settlement of my Credit card since the interest was very heavy and I have incurred some losses and unable to pay my dues on time. For that they informed me to make the minimum payment and will send the settlement letter within 48 hours and nothing cane through. I have also made the minimum payment as they asked in April 2006 and no settlement was done later.

     So I have stopped my payments for the past 5 months. I started getting calls from ICICI collection agents and they were abusing me over phone with all types of bad languages and the same has also been recorded . When i gave a complaint against them to the ICICI customer service centre and they have refused to take the complaint at all.

     Lat week one of their collection agaent called me and told that he has got the settlement letter for Rs.25000 and I asked them to bring the letter and collect the payment today since i was away from Bangalore for the past one week. Today the same person came and asked me the payment. I refused to make the payment since he was not having any settlement letter with him. But he refused to go out of my house and started using bad language. When i tried to call the ICICI Customer Service centre, they refused to take the complaint and informed that the person will sit in my house till i make the payment.

     Regardin this , i would like to make a complaint about the collection haraassment by ICICI Collection managers and Collection Agents.

     Collection agents did not reveal his name and agency name.

     ICICI Collection Manager name is Sunil.B.Rao from Bangalore branch of ICICI.

     Please guide me on this at the earliest.

     My problem is with accessing my yahoo account (bustarhymesin@yahoo.com) is very similar to the ones stated here already…. I have been using this account for almost 7 years now. last month I got a offline message( which was a link to “Yahoo Photos” I think )form some one who was already on my list where I entered my yahoo id and password…from that moment on I have not been able to access my account…when I enquired later I found the same thing happened to the person from whose id I got the link and is not able to access his account.      this is gr8 site man …………… but the yahoo customer care number is not there yet as per requests from soo many . but its a kool site .

     · When i go to loging in yahoo mail, after type my password the error message has been comming “Incorrect Password or ID”. I am using my Yahoo id past many years, infact from the time yahoo was launched , i been using my account daily religiously all of a sudden now it says my yahoo ID has been deactivated . I did not change my password. I tried all ways possible for getting yahoo id back., i have entered the correct answer to my secret challenge question and it does acept the answer displaying try login againand asks to sign in, but it is …..blank no password appears in the column of new password generated. .but it was of no use and finally sent repeated mails to Yahoo customer care. I have also verified my alternate email id & have mailed yahoo to change my secret question & answer and reset my password & send the information to my alternate email id but no response even after repeated mails. Please help me out for getting my Access to yahoo mail back IT CONTAINS VERY IMPORTANT MAILS.. Please provide me with Yahoo customer care number.      when i spoke to ur area head mr.Sriram Patil and asked him the explanation in writing and to return me back my papers and cheque as i was not intrested in opening a/c due to such kind of bad service he too arrongately said me

     “we dont have only urs work every day we receive thousands of forms for a/c opening and we cant give u in writing do whatever u want”

     when i repeatedly verbely & in writing enquired for giving me the phone nos of HO it was not given to me ,the application in writing is not accepted by the bankasking to send by reg post.

     EVEN I WAS NOT GIVEN THE COMPLAIN BOOK ,saying do whatever u want .

     as per RBI NORMS IT IS MANDATORY to DISPLAY PHONE NOS OF HO WITH DUE ADDRESS AT EVERY OF ITS BRANCH WHICH IS NOT DONE AT KARAD

     I am from Bangalore, wanted a new credit card and my friend reffered me to HSBC saying it has some good features, but it seems they are neither interested in new customers nor in the existing ones’. I called them and enquired and expressed my interest in getting a one, but I they did not reply nor they denied even after I called them four times.      Try and contact the HDFC Bank helpline. Google and use the no. on the website.

     When U register your complaint take a note of your compliant / reference no., name of the person, date and time.

     Usually they would provide 10 to 15 working days and they do reverse the money within this time frame. IF not, they are penalized on daily basis.
