Firefox Bookmark Shortcut

Came across this useful tip for firefox while browsing today.
You can assign some keyword shortcut to your bookmarks, and you can use these keywords in the address bar to load the site that is bookmarked!
For E.g :
Say you use a bookmark to reach bloglines.com. Right-click the bookmark, then click on properties. You would have a empty field called “Keyword”. Type in “bl” for Bloglines. After you have done that, click OK.
Now, in the address bar of your browser, just type bl, and you will be directly taken to the bookmarked site!

in IE ? you can assign keyboard shortcuts (say for eg : Alt+Ctrl+M) , but dont think keywords shotcuts can be assigned!
But FF doesn’t have the above feature (Alt+Ctrl+M kinds)

This feature is nice arjun !
Guys, check out the plugins page in firefox site. There an extension “TEXT 2 LINK “.
Suppose u have a long link in a text format (so that u cant click over it), no need to copy and paste in another tab. Jus highlight the text and right-click , select “open highlighted text in new tab”. Voila, a new tab opens. Forget Ctrl + c and ctrl + v !!
Go : Tools > Extensions > Get more extensions > In the FF homepage use search keyword >> “plain text to link”
