Don’t want ICICI folks to call you ?

Don’t want the ICICI bank folks call you and bug you about their products?
Try this link : http://www.inuonline.com/dnc/donotcall.asp (linked from the ICICI bank home page)
From the above link :
We respect your privacy, and appreciate if you do not want us to contact you over phone for any telemarketing activity. If that is so, you may use the Do Not Call form below to register your name and any of your phone number(s) that you want excluded from our calling lists.
This is a welcome move. Will have to wait and see if they will religiously follow it.

Would be great if there is a nationwide central repository in India too which all the companies can adhere to. I guess, its already present in US.

Fed up with unwarraned calls from ICICI Call Centre.
I have heard many cases of torture of ICICI muscle man by way of using abusing language or making a innocent customer disturb by making un necceary calls at mobile. I am customer of ICICI bank vide loan account no LBJAL00000729937. I have taken loan in 2004 for custruction of house. Since then i have paid nearly Rs 5.0 Lac as interest and Rs 0.84 lac as principal amount. Thanks to hefty increase of home loan interest rate by ICICI. I have never been a defaulter and have paid all the EMIs in time by keeping a decent track profile. And i have also been paying out standing amount due to increase in EMI from time to time. I have recently made part payment on vide receipt No 6554683, dated : 21.05.08 despite of all this, I hav received a call from ICICI Bank Call Centre from Delhi from phone no +91 11 45571400 at 11.00 hrs at my cell No , the Executive from ICICI has used filthy language, I told him that i have recently made part payment to my outstanding amount and balance payment will be made by 15 june and requested him not to disturb again and again. Then he challenged me that he would continue to disturb me in future also. You might have gone through the cases where due to this kind of threats people have given up their life. These people are playing with the lives of the innocent people and they treat their every customer as a cheat. They have got no respect to what RBI directives and Profusely making mockery of customer rights, I will say nobody should come in contact with ICICI Bank for any loan. Will you kindly take up the case with concerned authorities I don’t know to whom should i raise this matter to led a peaful life ?

Don’t mind adding more to above – I had a home loan with the Bank. Just around April 2007 when RBI had tightened the CRR, ICICI Bank decided to transfer this load to all new customers. Now this is what they did – instead of increasing their FRR (floating reference rate), they gave me a much lower margin on the FRR. Thus I ended up taking a loan for 12% instead of the rate of 10.5% which was prevailing till then. Thus, later, as they had no reason to bring down the FRR, I kept suffering with the higher rate. The reason I had to go for their loan was that I would have defaulted paying to the Builder which I did not want to do.
Once the rates were down again few months later, I mailed their senior “loan officers” and asked them to bring down the rate for me. No response. I then asked for a Foreclosure statement. Promply and email came asking “Saar, why do you want to close the loan”. When they called me up, I told them that they should increase the margin and give me the rate of 10.5% as that is what they were offering new customers, but they said “Saar, we are only giving that rate to new customers. If you want we can do a switch. Which means you pay 2% of the outstanding principal and we will bring down the rate to 11%”. After a lot of bargaining, they came down to bringing the rate down to 10.5% after my paying 1% on the outstanding principal, which was obviously not good enough.
I got a loan from IDBI at 10% and paid back their entire loan with the penalty. Extremely happy with that decision today and would not recommend ICICI Bank to anybody. One of my friends is paying 13.75% (yes you read that right) on his home loan because of silly clauses that they have in their agreement which vary from person to person.

P.Manikandan,
ICICI A/c. No.:602601520038,
T.Nagar Branch,
Chennai.
Sir,
Sub : Unparlimentary approach – Unfreeze my account –
Necessary Steps – Reg.
This is to inform you that I have an Account with ICICI and I am using it without any default. A few days before I got a call stating that I am responsible person for the unpaid loan of Mr. Kulaithan, who has taken a Personal Loan (LPCHE00008228752) from ICICI Bank. I was informed that I am the co-applicant for the above said person and freezed my account for the reason.
I am hereby declaring that I do not know the above referred person Mr.Kulaithan, and I am not aware that I am the co-applicant of that person. It is a fradualant factor. I have already sent you a mail regarding this matter. You want me to approach Ambatttur Icici Bank.
With the instruction, I have approached the Ambattur Icici Bank regarding this. I have interacted with Mr. Eswar, Assistant collection Manager, he informed me that the signature in the application form matches with my signature. I have not claimed that it is my signature any way. I tried to convince Mr. Eswar in a polite manner inspite of my politeness he used unparlimentary words and continued to threaten me like you have to pay or you can continue with the Legal proceedings.
I swear that I am in noway connected in this case and I am a middle class person sighted in this case..
Thanking You,
Regards,
(P.MANIKANDAN)
