Don’t want ICICI folks to call you ?

Don’t want the ICICI bank folks call you and bug you about their products?
Try this link : http://www.inuonline.com/dnc/donotcall.asp (linked from the ICICI bank home page)

From the above link :

We respect your privacy, and appreciate if you do not want us to contact you over phone for any telemarketing activity. If that is so, you may use the Do Not Call form below to register your name and any of your phone number(s) that you want excluded from our calling lists.

This is a welcome move. Will have to wait and see if they will religiously follow it.

Do Not Call

Would be great if there is a nationwide central repository in India too which all the companies can adhere to. I guess, its already present in US.

    Hi There,

I live in the USA and let me tell you that there is a do not call list here. If you don’t want telemarketers calling you, get caller ID and see who it is before you answer the phone. You can also use your answering machine to screen the calls. We also get annoying calls.

I am a person who loathes ICICI Bank. I have put my cell # on the Do not Dial list yet they continue to call. Leads me to believe that it is just lip service. I closed a generation old relationship with Canara Bank and moved to ICICI. Within a year I was back at ICICI with just 2 accounts left behind. One of them will be closed by the end of this month. Had enough of them. It is better to deal with a non Technology driven bank rather than a bank of technological fools. I am glad I have no shares of ICICI. The bank at this rate is only enrolling customers and absolutely not in a position to maintain them. I shudder to think @ the future of this bank.

I opened two saving accounts in ICICI Bank one for my general use and another for icicidirect on line share trading. At the time of opening of accounts I was told that debit card is free of charge. Now the bank debits card fee every year from my account without taking any permission.

    ANOTHER BUNGLING BY ICICI BANK
Also my son who is a NRI took a home loan. The loan was sanctioned in March 2004 and I being authorized signatory had been going to bank almost every alternate day and was told that the cheque will soon be issued as soon as they receive it from Mumbai. The cheque dated 31st March 2004 was received in April and the same was handed over to me on 16th April. The bank charged interest from 7th March whereas the cheque was given to me on 16th April 2004. Funny the loan agreement was signed on 29th March the cheque was given on 16th April 2004 and The interest charged from 7th March 2004.

be ware of hidden , uninformed charges slapped on you by icici bank.
i applied swap card machine for my business. first i was told to keep minimum balance of 1000 rs all the time. then i was told to swap card at least 200 rs in three months to avoid penalty. that was ok.
but the machine did not work for nearly two months as the person in charge was on leave , or some technical phone line problem.
after three months i got penalty charges of rs 2500 rs slapped on me by icici bank saying that it was for non maintainav\nce of balance.
they got our signatures on n number of pages. somewhere it is stated that your monthly transaction has to be at least by 1 lakh rupees! thats not possible for everyone.
the information was not made clear to us at all.

the local branches are never answerable. thay only ask you to contact main metro branch.

this computerised banking without human relations is not at all pleasing to most of the costumers of forein private banks.

the markating of personal loan has become a matter of laughter now. despite of having saving account, and personal loan going on , you get a call asking for personal loan, that too at such odd times that i feel like siung them in court for disturbing privacy.

it was good to know that such site exists to stop calls from icici . i hope it works ans works for other banks as well.

please let me know if anyone knows about the other banks no call sites.

    shashank

I have entered all my telephone numbers on the Do not call registry of ICICI bank. Take my word for it this registry is a sham.
Not only DSA, I get calls from their branches also.
    So,
I decided to give the ICICI bank a dose of their own medicine.

I have circulated a list of mobile phone numbers of various officers in ICICI Bank to my staff. When ever we receive a call from ICICI bank the caller is politely asked to contact the right person and gives the number of ICICI bank officers number to the caller. I promise they will never ever call you back. Any person to be really bugged will be people at ICICI bank.

I had a card with ICICI and wanted to close the card(final settlement). When the agent called me for the bill payment i requested for closure and they told me that my total outstanding was around 80k and they will settle it for around 70k. They sent an agent from an agency called sukruthi which is a collection agency for ICICI in bangalore I believe and I paid the amount in cheque but the person who collected the cheque refused to give a closure letter. He made me talk to his manager called prem from chennai and he told me that the bank will send the closure letter within 3 days and I never got it. They sent me bills after bills. I posted complaints after complaints and I wanted to talk to a manager. But it never happened for last 5 months. and Yesterday this guy called sanjay called from the bank and started shouting at me and insulting me. He says i dont have proof that anyone in ICICI has promised you to send the closure letter. I am planning to approach the consumer rights council for this. Beware of ICICI final settlements. Please consult a lawyer before you go for a Final settlement with ICICI bank. The bank is completely un ethical in banking and have indecent people as their managers. As you know the bank has been known as the most notorious one for using gundas for recovery of interests etc. I have heard about several such incidents. Kindly avoid banking with them. I have closed the loan that i had with them and similarly this card also.

I have a ICICI Bank Credit Card. I had paid Rs. 15,000/- towards the payment by Bankers Cheque. Somehow the DD got bounced and i got a call from ICICI for the same. They promised to return me the same and took the minimum amt due from me. But till date almost a year this people have not yet returned me the demand draft. ICICI is the most disgusting and a fraud bank. I will suggest beware of this bank.

I too had registered for teh do not call service and yet keep getting calls from ICICI bank. Worse still, ICIC Bnk issued an EMI Card on my name, issued the card to someone else, who has now spent it for about Rs.50K. ICICI Bank’s call centre, as usual, does not provide an appropriate response, and the issue is still pending even after writing to Anirush Kamani In Mumbai.

It is time some of the ICICI Fatcats decide to get into the real world and solve their customer’s problems rather than blowing the banks money on expensive travel and hotels.

Let us start a blog directed at ICICI’s malpractices, as that can be the best way of creating prssure on the bank. What say?

It is not possible to contact the ICICI bank branches at all. I have some pending issues and everytime I have to deal with their phone banking service. They keep you on hold for at least 15 mins and then do not solve your query. You are asked to contact the branch personally. Evrytime you call the phone banking nos. you get connected to a new person and must explain the problem from begining. Why can’t ICICI give their branch nos? I am fed up with this bank.

I totally agree that ICICI sucks!
I dont even ave an account with this bank. Yet somebody else’s account details get sent to me twice everyday!
I feel sorry for this person as this is a violation of his privacy.
I tried calling customer support but it is only a waste of money!!!

DONT BANK WITH ICICI…. they are unreliable and give out your personal, private details to total strangers

£300 sent by noney2india to my 87 year old uncle on 27 September has still not been received. Have made more than 20 telephone enquiries to no avail.
Can this behaviour be called theft by ICICI BAnk?

    Hello Kiran
If you have other bank credit card then you can go for balance transfer. Using BT you can save on interest you are paying on your outstanding amount. BT options are available for 0% for 3 months or 0.75% for 6 months like this. you can choose and save

    regards
