Hi All,

I don't know if this is correct place, however I would still post my issue since 'ICICI' plays

a role.

I applied for a Car (Chevrolet) Loan via ICICI. The loan amount was a mere 3.2L. I submitted

over 100 xerox copies of documents, my past 2.5 years of employment papers, this n that.

Where am I stuck? The person from ICICI (or the agency ICICI hires) went to the WRONG address

for my verification. Now, I'm single and I stay alone. Where I live, it has been over 2.5 years

and everyone knows me in the building for obvious reasons. The verification guy went to the

wrong address and marked my FI as negative. I re-requested it and this time he entered the

wrong address again! I assisted him in going to the correct address, and again he marked me as

negative! I verified from every neighbor in my building, all of them were away to work. And the

comments that this guy put in his notes everytime was
"The guy has left the building 2 days ago"

Now,
1) When first time, he entered the wrong place, how could he write "I left 2 days ago"? (even

if I did leave)!!
2) Howcome he wrote the same damn comment AGAIN when he entered the same address

My question to ICICI persons:
1) Are these persons your own? These so called uneducated and absolutely lunatic people
2) If not, then they are from some agency that you hire. What is your criteria for making a

contract with an agency for the verification process? Or do you have none at all?
3) On what basis, are these persons given information for verification?

or is this just some "layman's work" or some "jugaad" thing keeping which in mind does ICICI

hire/employ agency/persons for the verification process?

I have taken a leave today, in spite of urgent work, sitting back home like a stupid person,

and finding EVERY SITE on which I can tell people, what ICICI does!

No matter what comes to this country, the service is as bad as a road-side dhaba. And its

painful to see, ICICI BANK is no damn different!

Thanks ICICI, these are the reasons why people from outside laugh at India and its services.

Forget them, I am laughing myself to be a part of the country where a bank like ICICI truly

harasses people and kills their time n money for nothing at all!

ICICI ..... YOU ROCK LIKE SHIT!

ICICI bank is definitely the WORST bank I have ever dealt with. Even a random dollar store has more in the name of customer service.

Use this bank if you enjoy a customer service that does NOT hear you and just goes on with their "Yes, please .. " "I am so so so so so sorry." " Please accept my apologies." None of them want to really help you or look into your problem. They have the worst IT department. If you don't log on for more than 15-20 days the account is locked. No way to opt out of this. If you forgot your password, there is a forgot password process that takes 10 days! In this day and age, who waits 10 days to get their password reset! Of course the password is sent to you by post. What!?

Most banks would update their address when the postal office notifies them ... not with ICICI. You have to write them a letter (yes welcome to the millennium) and then send more documents that you need to fly across the globe, moon, and back. Needless to say, this process takes more than 10 days.

I can go on and on. I don't know which is worse the "fakely-apologetic customer service" or their IT department. I designed more reliable websites when I was in high-school!

I have had this account for 4 years and I have been able to run 0 transactions. Everytime I need to do something, my account is disabled and it is until 30 days later that I can log on. Unlike ICICI, other deadlines don't wait 30 days!

Worst worst worst experience. I wish they shut down and rid us all of their incompetence. I would be ashamed of myself if I worked there.

My wife and I are elderly Canadians who are also having a bad experience with ICICI Bank Canada. We are trying to close our investment account and recover our money, but the bank wastes our time with many silly silly questions, then gives us one excuse after another for why they can't (meaning they won't) do anything for us. They always say "we are very sorry to hear that., BUT blah blah blah blah blah," which always means "you lose." Do those words sound familiar?

SR127212325 : Please close my Fixed deposit and credit to my account. Please deduct the penalty charges you mentioned in my email.

Just a note for you, I will be posting this on online forums so that others don't make this mistake and ICICI don't loot money like this one. I found out that HDFC don't have this kind of looting system, so I will close this account sooner. Thanks for your great support in understanding Customer.

Because I spend six months in India and six months each year abroad, I asked the NRI section at Mumbai to send any mail to my foreign address during my absence from India.
The Bank has only two addresses on their records, my foreign address and my Indian address. Neither have changed for some years.
But of course, it’s not so simple to just redirect mail to my other address; I was told I need to send all kinds of address proofs and ID proofs before they can redirect my mail to my alternate address on their records. Can you imagine doing these things every six months when the Bank already have all the relevant address and ID proofs in their records. It’s not as though these addresses are new.
I hold an account with HSBC abroad and when I leave for India, all I need to do is send them an email asking to have all mail, including statements, sent to my India address until further notice (even without address proof) and it’s done, no questions asked and the mail arrives on time and without any extra charge for postage. I don’t feel like getting into long email correspondence with ICICI Bank about this so I have had to arrange with the postman in India to leave my mail at a neighbour’s house because of the stupidity and intransigence of the NRI staff. It’s just too much trouble to try and penetrate the NRI section. It seems to me that all that the ICICI staff are interested in is getting their salary at the end of the month, customers are a nuisance and should be ignored.
What should it matter to anyone at ICICI where a customer wants his correspondence sending to; it is after all his mail? Provided that the request has been received through the post or through the secure connection of their website where no one has been able to intercept and tamper with it.

Had a worst experience ever with a call centre in my life. I withdrew Rs 400 using ICICI debit card in a different bank ATM. It was my first ever transaction with a different bank of the month. It charged me Rs 77 extra!. I called up the ICICI customer care and they took 25 minutes to answer! They asked all stupid questions like do you have DMAT acc, do you hold credit card, do you use internet banking and so on. And finally they gave the most stupid ever possible answer: the amount 477 (not 77!) is used as system reserve by DMAT dept. F**K In. Why should DMT reserve for an ATM transaction (that too not only the extra but also the amount I took!). I finally had to threaten that I will go to consumer court and cut the call.

ICICI bank is really a criminal bank!
They have cut the same amount of 900 twice. It's not a small amount but a substantial percentage of my saving ! As far as i correctly remember, my account was zero balance or atleast a 5k for last four years and not a single rupee has been cut unnecessarily when i was there in country. If they have revised their policy, customers deserve to be notified at least! They have no right to cut a single penny without my authorization! If they have some charges on my name, ideally they should notify me first and get my authorization. If i don't comply, they can drag me to court but cannot touch MY ACCOUNT without my authorization! I am not in country so can't do anything other than watching helplessly my saving getting diminished day by day!
If we can unite and can file a group consumer court complaint against this dacoit bank, this will be great!
Can anyone advice how to seriously take up this matter and also penalize the bank for creating psychological trauma.
