I too have the same problem. See its not very easy to switch over to ethernet modem because i bought this modem from airtel. If it was in rent they change it free of cost. I got ubuntu 5.10 recently. I want to use it. But the thing that is stopping me is my USB modem "GlobeSpan Virata Tera 100u" which i got from airtel. So someone could plz explain how to go about installing this in Ubuntu.
